The concept of marriage versus the reality of marriage.
Becoming one with someone is a costly pursuit. It is a process. It starts with courting, progresses to the vows of "I do," and continues with a lifetime of learning new things about your partner as you both evolve through different stages of life. The journey can be challenging, but when you look back, you can appreciate your relationship's beauty, progression, and uniqueness.
Devotional: Be good stewards of your thoughts.
Just like diet alone cannot promote health, praying alone won’t change our thought patterns. We must make a deliberate choice by taking inventory of our thoughts. If we think poorly, our actions will align with our thoughts. We must recognize that our beliefs sabotage our efforts.

Devotional: The Freedom of Forgiveness and Releasing the Chains that Bind
The Freedom of Forgiveness: Releasing the Chains that Bind
Have you truly forgiven? Or are you holding onto hurt, replaying offenses, and allowing bitterness to take root? True forgiveness, the kind that mirrors God's boundless grace, goes beyond a private prayer. It requires humility, vulnerability, and a willingness to mend broken relationships.
Matthew 6:14-15 reminds us that our forgiveness from God is intertwined with our willingness to forgive others. Yet, saying "I'm sorry" can feel impossible. Pride whispers excuses, fueling resentment. But forgiveness offers liberation from these chains. It unlocks healing, reconciliation, and a deeper connection with God and others.
Unforgiveness leads to:
Spiritual stagnation: Blocking the flow of God's blessings.
Emotional turmoil: Breeding bitterness and anger.
Relational breakdown: Creating barriers between you and others.
Physical ailments: Manifesting as anxiety, headaches, and more.
Choose freedom! Examine your heart, pray for humility, and take the first step towards reconciliation. Let go of the hurt and embrace the transformative power of forgiveness.

Devotional: Timeless Truth in a Changing World
We live in a culture obsessed with "metrics, influence, and acceptance." The pressure to conform, to evolve with the times, is immense. But what about our faith? Does God's Word also need to evolve? Absolutely not! Hebrews 13:8 declares, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." His character, His promises, His truth – they are all unchanging.
Yet, we've become masters of justification, twisting Scripture to fit our desires. We've prioritized fitting in over standing up for truth, and allowed human reasoning to trump God's clear commands. But the truth remains: God's Word is the unchanging standard for morality. It's time to realign our hearts and lives with His eternal truth.
The Unseen Battle: the Reality of Spiritual Warfare
The Unseen Battlefield Within
We are a generation captivated by the tangible, craving instant gratification and visible results. Yet, the most critical battles we wage are fought not on earthly terrain, but within the invisible realm of the spirit. The anxieties that grip us, the depressions that weigh us down, the addictions that enslave us, the fractured relationships that leave us broken—these are not merely psychological or social ailments, but symptoms of a deeper spiritual conflict raging within.
Ephesians 6:12 pulls back the curtain on this unseen war, reminding us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against "the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." This is a profound declaration: we are engaged in a relentless battle against unseen forces vying for control of our lives, our minds, and ultimately, our destinies.
And how does the enemy gain access? Through our disobedience to the Word of God. Just as Jesus countered Satan's temptations with Scripture, we too must wield the sword of the Spirit to defend ourselves. Yet, we often neglect this powerful weapon, leaving ourselves vulnerable to the enemy's schemes.
Here's the stark truth: we are not passive victims in this spiritual war. We have been granted authority and power through Christ, but our ignorance, our complacency, allows the enemy to gain a foothold. He whispers lies, planting seeds of doubt and fear, tempting us to compromise and stray from God's path. He distorts truth, sows discord, and promotes falsehoods, all to weaken our resolve and steal our victory.
But here's the even greater truth: victory is possible. 1 John 4:4 boldly proclaims, "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
The battle is fierce, but the victory has already been won through Christ. It is time to rise, equipped with the armor of God, empowered by His Spirit, and claim the abundant life He has promised.

This isn't just a verse for teenagers; it's a powerful reminder for all of us, no matter our age. God desires your whole heart, right now, in this season of your life. He sees your potential, your passion, and your willingness to say "yes" to Him.
In this devotional, we'll explore how God can use you, regardless of your age, to accomplish His purposes. We'll be inspired by the stories of young people in the Bible who made a difference, and we'll discover practical ways to serve and worship God today.
Young people and the Church
Are We Losing Our Youth? A Call to Action
The church faces a crisis: young people are leaving the faith in droves. It's not just about worldly distractions; it's about a deeper struggle with doubt, anxiety, and the pressure to conform. But within this struggle lies an opportunity. By creating safe spaces for honest questions, fostering genuine community, and equipping young people with a robust faith, we can reclaim our role as a beacon of hope for the next generation. Learn more about how we can bridge the gap and re-engage the hearts and minds of our youth.
DEVOTIONAL: COME FROM AMONG THEM
We are living in the days of false prophets and teachers. The Bible warns us that sin will increase, and it has undoubtedly been rampant in the church. Where there is greed, all sorts of evil will be found. There is a thin line between honor and false humility.
Waiting on God
David found himself huddled in the cold, damp darkness of the Adullam cave, a fugitive from his own king. His world had crumbled around him, his dreams shattered, and his future uncertain. Yet, even in this desolate place, David clung to a flicker of hope. He knew that God was with him, guiding his steps, even when he couldn't see the path ahead.
Like David, we may face trials that seem insurmountable. Our plans may fall apart, our dreams may be shattered, and we may feel utterly lost. But in the midst of our despair, let us remember the power of patience and trust. Just as David waited in the cave for God's timing, so too must we.
God's timing is perfect, even when it doesn't align with our expectations. He sees the bigger picture, the intricate tapestry of our lives that we can't fully comprehend. So let us wait, let us trust, and let us seek His guidance. For in the darkest moments of our lives, it is His light that shines the brightest.
DIVING INTO THE MODEL OF PRAYER
Matthew 6:5-15 provides us with a powerful model for prayer. This passage offers invaluable insights into effective communication with God. Let's dive deeper into each point of this prayer and discover its significance in our spiritual lives.
1. Addressing God as "Our Father"
This intimate address establishes a personal relationship with God, acknowledging our status as His children. It conveys a sense of trust, love, and belonging within the divine family. By addressing God as "Father," we tap into the deep well of love and care that He has for His children.
2. Seeking God's Kingdom and Will
This prioritizes God's kingdom and His will above our own, demonstrating our submission to His sovereignty. It reflects our desire for God's kingdom to be established on earth and for His will to be done through our lives. By seeking God's kingdom first, we align ourselves with His divine purpose and receive His blessings.
3. Asking for Daily Bread
This acknowledges our dependence on God for our daily needs. It teaches us to trust in His provision and to focus on the essentials of life. By asking for daily bread, we express our faith in God's ability to meet our needs and avoid the trap of materialism.
4. Forgiving Debts
This emphasizes the importance of forgiveness in our relationships with others. It teaches us to release bitterness and resentment, and to extend grace to those who have wronged us. By forgiving others, we demonstrate our love for God and our desire to live in harmony with His teachings.
5. Avoiding Temptation
This acknowledges the reality of temptation and seeks God's protection. It demonstrates our trust in God's power to deliver us from evil and our desire to live a righteous life. By asking God to lead us away from temptation, we express our commitment to following His will.
6. Deliverance from Evil
This recognizes the existence of evil forces and seeks God's protection. It demonstrates our trust in God's sovereignty and power, and our desire to live a life free from the influence of evil. By seeking deliverance from evil, we align ourselves with God's battle against the forces of darkness.
7. Ascribing Glory to God
This acknowledges God's greatness and power, expressing our worship and adoration. It reflects our desire to glorify God in all we do and to live a life that brings honor to His name. By ascribing glory to God, we fulfill our ultimate purpose as His children.
This powerful guide teaches us how to approach God, what to pray for, and how to express our faith. By following this model, we can deepen our relationship with God and experience the blessings of answered prayer. It reminds us of the importance of humility, trust, and submission in our spiritual lives.
Praise vs. Worship: A Devotional
In our journey of faith, it's easy to confuse praise and worship. While both are expressions of our devotion to God, they are distinct experiences.
Praise is an outward manifestation of gratitude, a tangible acknowledgment of God's goodness and provision in our lives. It's the joyful shout of thanksgiving, the raised hands in adoration, the melodious hymns that fill our hearts with joy. But worship goes deeper. It's a heart-centered experience, a surrender of our souls to the divine.
Worship is a quiet moment of contemplation, a confession of our sins, a dedication of our lives. It's acknowledging God's sovereignty and placing our trust in His divine plan. In worship, we find a sense of peace, a connection to something greater than ourselves.
While praise and worship are interconnected, they are not mutually exclusive. True worship often leads to spontaneous praise, and heartfelt praise can deepen our worship experience. Let us strive to cultivate both in our lives, offering our hearts and voices in adoration to our Heavenly Father.
Making assumptions
Imagine walking into a room and seeing someone crying. Without hesitation, you assume they're sad. But what if they're laughing at a funny joke? Or maybe they're just cutting an onion?
We often make snap judgments based on limited information, and it can lead to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. The Bible warns us against this: "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be judged with the same judgment you use" (Matthew 7:1).
When we judge prematurely, we risk:
Hurting others: Our words can cause pain and damage relationships.
Making wrong assumptions: We may miss important details that change the picture.
Hindering our own spiritual growth: Judging others can harden our hearts and prevent us from experiencing God's love and forgiveness.
Instead of judging, let's strive to understand and empathize. Listen actively, ask questions, and offer grace and forgiveness. Remember, you never know the full story. By choosing understanding over judgment, we create a more compassionate and loving world.
Let's commit to judging less and loving more. Share this post with someone who needs a reminder about the importance of understanding and forgiveness.

The Danger of Division
In today's world, division is a pervasive force that can tear apart families, communities, and churches. The Bible warns us of the dangers of division and encourages us to strive for unity. This devotional will explore the root causes of division and how we can overcome them.
Have You Answered the Call?
This question, inspired by the biblical account of Samuel's encounter with God, echoes a profound truth: God is actively calling out to each of us.
Have you heard God's call in your life? Perhaps it's a calling to ministry, a nudge towards a new career path, or a simple invitation to deepen your relationship with Him. Whatever the form, answering God's call is a transformative experience.
It's a journey that requires courage, sacrifice, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones. Yet, the rewards are immeasurable. Answering God's call leads to a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment.
So, what are you waiting for? Have you heard God's call? If so, it's time to respond.
Surrender to His will: Let go of your own plans and trust in God's guidance.
Follow His leading: Be obedient to His voice, even when it's difficult.
Use your gifts for His glory: Serve God and others with your unique talents.
By answering God's call, you become a part of His grand plan for the world. You join a community of believers who are making a difference in the lives of others.
Judge all man by the Spirit of God and not by the flesh.
How confident are you to say this? Because of what the Lord saved you from, you should have that boldness to tell the enemy get thee behind you! You must have the confidence to share your testimony of what the Lord did for you. The enemy wants to keep us silent. He is a big bully and wants us to be quiet about what the Lord had done for us.
The orphan Spirit
An orphan minset is a demonic spirit of abandonment. This starts when the laws of God for marriage is not obeyed. This is why I started with the role of a father and mother. It is the foundation for building a happy healthy home. Many of us have experienced abandonment in some form the other. This is because our parents also have experienced it and this spirit had passed down from generations.
The Beauty of Different Perspectives
In the intricate tapestry of the Christian faith, we are often presented with diverse perspectives. These differing viewpoints, like threads of different colors, contribute to the richness and beauty of our shared belief system. While they may sometimes lead to disagreements or misunderstandings, it's crucial to remember that these differences don't necessarily mean one of us is wrong.
The Bible itself offers numerous examples of diverse perspectives among believers. Consider the early church, where various denominations and traditions emerged, each with its unique interpretations of scripture. Yet, they were all united in their faith in Christ and shared core beliefs.
Here are a few key points to remember:
Unity in Diversity: Despite our differences, we are all united in our love for Christ and our commitment to His teachings.
The Bigger Picture: God sees the bigger picture, and His ways are often beyond our understanding (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Humility and Open-Mindedness: We should approach disagreements with humility and an open mind, be willing to learn from others, and consider different viewpoints.
Remember:
Love One Another: Above all, we are called to love one another, even when we disagree (John 13:34).
Seek Understanding: Take the time to understand each other's perspectives and find common ground.
Pray for Unity: Ask God to help us overcome our differences and work harmoniously.
We can create a more loving and united Christian community by embracing diversity and seeking understanding. Let's celebrate the richness of having different perspectives within the Body of Christ.
Come from behind the veil.
A spiritual veil symbolizes the concealing of something. It separates two places and also represents the covering of something to hide from the truth being revealed. On the day Jesus was crucified, the veil was torn, which means there is no more division between us and God. We can come boldly to the throne of grace through the finished work at the cross to receive mercy.
