You are an ambassador of God, representing the King of Glory.
Ephesians 4:13 till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
It is always an honor to minister to God's servants. It is a privilege to be among believers hungry for God and desire the community to mature in their graces. The work of ministry is simple. Over the years, the real work of the church has been swapped for financial gain, flashing lights, and extensive programs.
While the church continues as usual, believers live in defeat after the extravagant seminars have ended. We don't need the extra stuff to win souls to the kingdom. We only need to point others to Jesus. Without renewing their minds, believers live mediocre lives.
In my recent message, the Lord had me share on identity and the purpose of ministry. The word of God says that he gave us an identity in our mother's womb. We can't blame the devil for everything. He may have orchestrated systems that would maintain ignorance in the lives of believers. However, we are responsible for reading and studying the word of God for ourselves.
The enemy can only defeat those ignorant of God's word concerning them. He succeeds when we refuse to develop intimacy with the Lord. He sets up traps because we rely more on leaders to work hard. This is why many are ineffective in fulfilling their assignments. Your identity can only come from God. He created you; therefore, he knows what he has called you to do on earth. It starts with understanding that you are engrafted in Christ.
The first office the Lord calls us to is sonship. It is personal and one that our leaders can't do for us. Leaders help us identify our call and train us in obedience to God. God is the one who has called us to Himself, refining us to make disciples of all people. This work is not exclusive to Fivefold leaders. It is for everyone who has God’s seal. We are sent to express His love and redemption.
Romans 8:15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
Like your leaders, you inherit sonship's promises, rights, privileges, and responsibilities. You're released from the penalty of previous sins. As your relationship with God grows, so does your confidence as his child. The Holy Spirit is part of the package. The problem is that you have yet to capitalize on that relationship. The Lack of intimacy with God leaves no room to get familiar with the person of the Holy Spirit.
The office of a son and daughter of God is one of humility. It is a place of innocence. We all must learn a new way of life and adapt to the culture of God. The Holy Spirit is the one who conforms us to the image of Christ. The person of the Holy Spirit works within us so that what comes out of us is the expression of God’s character.
We are unprepared if we do not know who we are. We can't elevate others if we do not know our identity. We can’t unite until we recognize that we are not at war. Instead, we are on the same team and members of the body of Christ. Without genuine love among us, we are ill-equipped.
No one can represent a kingdom they do not know. If Satanists are courageous enough to find out who they serve and proudly wave their flags, so should we. We must understand that we can't represent God without being disciples. A good disciple makes a great leader. This is the process Jesus took his disciples through before they were promoted to leadership.
Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be.
We must prioritize seeking God and His righteousness. Our love for God and His people motivates us in ministry work. The word of God is clear: the least will be the greatest. Assume a position as a son or daughter of the Most High God, and in due season, he will promote you to leadership that will bear fruit that will remain.
