Jesus is the healer!
Sickness is undoubtedly a curse that arises as a direct consequence of disobedience.
Deuteronomy 28: The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish.
Every opportunity to get to know God in a new way, I am in.
I knew God as my provider. I knew Him for His restorative power in my marriage. I know Him as a God of war and as an intercessor. I heard of His healing power but never experienced it beyond a mild flu.
Now, I know God as my healer.
After being diagnosed with a terminal disease, I ran to my Heavenly Father for wisdom to navigate this new challenge. I needed revelation and strategy from the ultimate healer to overcome. I needed the peace of God and a higher level of faith for this journey.
There is nothing God can't do for those who trust Him.
The entire Bible points to Jesus. He is the word of God clothed in flesh. He demonstrated the will of God throughout his ministry. He never denied anyone the gift of being free from the spirit of infirmity. When people came to him, he was moved with compassion and healed them.
The only prerequisite for healing is faith.
Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.
Sickness is not the will of God for you!
If you ever believed that it is God’s will for you to be ill, repent! God never intended for his children to be sick. He wants us to live a long, joyful, and successful life. As a blood-bought child of God, you are not under the curse of the law.
When we walk outside of the will of God, there are always repercussions.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
In the scripture above we know the key to overcoming is to resist the devil, and he MUST flee.
I find it challenging to think that God created man to plague humanity with sickness. Where there is sin theft, destruction, and death are inevitable. It is the enemy's will that we remain ignorant to inflict sickness, lack, and destruction.
Jesus operated in the healing anointing because it is the will of God for us.
Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, So the curse causeless shall not come.
The beauty of navigating a chronic illness like I did was the peace I had throughout this process.
A curse without a cause cannot stand. God gave me insight into overturning the verdict meant to take me out. Anything that is manifested in the natural either adheres to the will of God or is a breach of it.
The bottom line is its origin is spiritual. When the spirit man aligns with the Word of God, the body responds. I only needed to believe I was healed because it was God’s will. I saw the hand of God at work in my body.
When you know the truth, fear has no change.
Developing a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit was amazing and necessary to walk by faith, not the doctor’s diagnosis. My faith grew tremendously, as did my knowledge of his covenant and desires. I knew that God’s promise supersedes the doctor's report.
The blood of Jesus speaks of greater things concerning me.
Deuteronomy 28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Health is a blessing from the Lord.
God created us to be healthy, prosperous, and victorious. Those who live upright get the full benefit of the blessings listed in Deuteronomy 28. Those who don’t fall prey to the curses.
Child of God curses are not promised from the Lord.
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who did good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
In Jesus' ministry, He spent much time healing the sick and casting out demons.
Who can't forget His famous statement, "Go and sin no more." As blessed as I was to have powerful men and women of God speak into my life and join their faith with mine. If I did not believe what God said in His word and confirmed through his prophets, I would not experience healing.
I do not care how much exercise, healthy eating, and medications one takes. Healing can't be permanent until we divorce ourselves from the works of darkness. Child of God, it does not matter what your doctor's report says.
Hold on to this truth that God wants you healed so much that He clothed himself in flesh, was beaten, and died for you to have it. Too many scriptures confirm his will concerning you to confess otherwise.
Activate your faith and believe in God for your healing today.
God has an obedience for you to overcome what the enemy meant to kill you. He gave you power and authority to turn sickness into healing. My prayer for you today is to know God as your healer.
Mark 16: 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
God does not want you bound to sickness.
He does not want you oppressed by the devil. He gave you the license to lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. There is no sickness that God can't heal. Demons will bow to the word of God when you understand spiritual laws, covenants, and your spiritual authority.
It doesn't matter how the door of illness was opened in your life; God can turn it.
