The Seven Spirits of God
Isaiah 11: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
Maturing in the Lord is extraordinary. The Lord gave us gifts that identify us with Him. With these gifts comes the responsibility to steward correctly. Without the fear of the Lord, it is easy to go into error. Believe it or not, the church needs to return to God. Many have turned away from God and fallen prey to new-age practices that are anti-Christ. Like me, the Lord has raised many in the church and workplace to bring correction and turn their hearts back to the Father again.
During my training, I was stunned by how Christians in both these systems are compromised. This is not to say I am perfect. I sit here today as the most flawed prophet. I am convinced the Lord sends uncompromising warriors to do the work and return nations to Him.
To give you a little backstory, I have fallen into deception more times than I recall. Deception is a huge part of maturing in our walk with the Lord, especially for those called to the prophetic office. It is because I have fallen into deception so many times that I qualify to speak on the topic. People may overlook the signs of deception when focused on the gifts. But that does not fool God. He is just and never changes his rules to fit into our molds.
It is a fact that when the head of any industry is compromised, so will the body. In both cases, I learned about prophetic witchcraft. God teaches us through circumstances to strengthen our faith and discernment. Through my training, I learned to identify the gifts of those called to do ministry work and spot and expose the devil's agenda through the rampant Jezebel spirit in the Body of Christ.
James 3:16 For where envy and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work.
No one can accomplish God's work or will outside of Christ. The word of knowledge may impress people, but God looks at man's heart. People often judge based on works rather than righteousness. This became evident as we worked in both ministry and marketplace. Many Christian leaders begin their work on fire for the Lord. When hardship comes to test their faith for promotion, the fire begins to dwindle. The Lord taught us the power of love to activate God's gifts and spirit within us. When love for God and his people no longer drives us to do the work, the enemy sneaks in.
To function in the gifts of the spirit, we must live with reverence and love for the Lord. We must address hidden sins and allow the Lord to heal us so we can flow in the spirit of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, and power. God allows us to repent and wash us clean so we can continue on the mandate He has given the church.
Fear, hate, unforgiveness, bitterness, and strife taint the purity of the gifts of the spirit. Many people believe they are using these gifts purely but are in error. Faith, hope, and love are spiritual forces that must accompany the gifts. Love has the power to overcome the influence of the devil. It's important to discern the spirit in which people operate. Leaders who use manipulation and control tactics may be compromised and untrustworthy.
As leaders, we must never resort to manipulation and control. That is a sure sign that the enemy is at work. God is jealous of God and will eventually cut down those who make themselves mini gods in the church. The earth is groaning for the sons and daughters of God to rise and influence the earth with the government of Heaven.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Not everyone in leadership is truly submitted to the Holy Spirit. As servants of God, we must make every effort to live as Christ did. It is no longer us who live but Christ who lives through us. We should not leave room for anyone to question our integrity. Our responsibility is to ensure that we uphold the word of God with the influence He has given us.
We should also surround ourselves with people who hold us accountable, and we should do the same for them. Leaders should submit to other leaders in love, as in the book of Acts. Submission is powerful. A leader whose fruit remains submits to correction and counsel.
I believe we should never outgrow correction from fellow believers. God is no respecter of persons, and He will use those close to us to keep us humble. If we ignore Him, He will use people outside the church and circumstances to bring us to repentance. God will not be mocked nor allow leaders to continue in error, leading his sheep to destruction.
In closing, let us embrace the seven spirits of God. The spirit of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, power, and fear of God enables us to function as His ambassadors on earth. Church, we are set apart for every good work. We will lead in righteousness as sons and daughters of the Most High God.
