Work from a place of rest.

Jesus Knew his purpose. His ministry was not to earn people’s approval or a living. It was to restore their relationship with God. Man’s request did not move him. Faith moved Jesus and what his Father requested of him.

Hebrews 4:3 For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.

I love the Lord with all my heart, and I love his people.

There was a point in ministry when all I did was work. There were days I worked over twelve-hour shifts. I went to bed late and woke up at odd hours in the morning to do ministry work. There were days I hardly made time for my family. Taking a step back from ministry, I struggled to find balance. This put a strain on my marriage.

The Lord taught me a better way.

Many believe Jesus only did ministry work. There is evidence that he had downtime. He was in full-time ministry, but also invested time with his disciples and friends and made time to rest.

Jesus lived a balanced life. He desires we do the same.

In Luke 4:27-31, we see that many rejected Jesus' ministry. The crowd demanded Jesus perform miracles. The people who marveled at the miracles he performed wanted to kill him by throwing him off a cliff the moment he said no. It was more entertainment to them. That did not detour him.

Jesus knew his mandate. His ministry was not to earn people’s approval or a living. It was to restore their relationship with God. Man’s request did not move him. Faith moved Jesus and what his Father requested of him.

Ministry should never overwhelm you.

People should never control how we do ministry and serve God. Jesus always made time to be refreshed in the presence of his Father. He slept through a massive storm and was not afraid. He escaped enormous crowds and rested often.

So many of us strive daily to do the work of ministry.

We don’t do ministry to earn finances! We should never neglect time with our children and family. It could potentially cause our marriage to fall apart. When we do, we lose sight of why we do ministry in the first place.

We begin to perform while our home is out of order. Our bodies are prone to illness due to stress. That is not God’s will for our lives.

The Lord is pleased with your work and concerned about your health and family. He did not call you to strife to serve him. He desires you to serve him joyfully.

Do not allow the enemy to rob you of the servant’s heart. God’s kingdom is one of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. It is not one of striving.

So if you find yourself exhausted or overwhelmed, take a step back and rest in his presence. Allow the Lord to renew your strength. You do not need to perform for him. He does not need you to be overworked. He wants you to rest.

Introducing; underdog to champ

It is not over! You will fight and defeat this enemy before you. Though victory seems impossible, and the odds are against you. Today, if you stand with me, I will deliver this battle into your hands, and you will be victorious. The enemy thinks he has won. He believes this because he has brought you to your knees. He believes you are giving up because you seem to have no more fight. He has sent so much against you and feels confident that he is about to deliver the final blow.

Claim your victory

1 John 4:4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Judges 16:28
“Then Samson prayed to the LORD, “Sovereign LORD, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.”

Your present situation

The Lord showed me a vision of you taking a knee, sweating, gasping for air. Ready to throw off the armor you are wearing? About to take a last stand! You look up, and the enemy is so many. You bow your head, feeling bested. Rise, my child, says the Lord.

The Lord is giving you the courage and strength to continue. ”I hear your cry, my child, and I answer you.” I am the God who called you. I am He who has given you the necessary weapons, and I am the one who has gone before you. So come now and allow my glory to cover you and my anointing to fill you. Stand in my power. Stand in the plan I have for you. Attack and pulverize the enemy that stands before you, for victory is yours today, says the Lord.

Your foolishness will astonish the wise.

The Lord sets apostles apart to guide the church into a new era.

The body of Christ had become immobile, and this generation is craving for more. The Church's advancement relies on our determination to cross into the promised land.

The Lord called us in our ignorance.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our good news [regarding salvation] came to you not only in word but also in [its inherent] power and in the Holy Spirit and with great conviction [on our part]. You know what men we proved to be among you for your benefit.

The Lord confirmed my apostolic call shortly after I was placed in the prophetic office.

All the signs were there through my prophetic training. But there was another season of intense training I had to go through. The Lord allowed my family and me to experience full-time international apostolic training.

We learned what was of the Lord and what was not, what we can and should not do as leaders.

The Lord sets apostles apart to guide the church into a new era.

The body of Christ had become immobile, and this generation is craving for more. The Church's advancement relies on our determination to cross into the promised land.

The Lord called us in our ignorance.

Our qualifications and experience in ministry were no match for the Lord’s wisdom. We are still ignorant. He opened our eyes to the condition of the church and gave us wisdom for the future.

It doesn’t matter how difficult your circumstances are right now. There is a greater purpose.

Get past your plateau.

To stand in the fullness of your call, you’ll have an encounter with the Lord.

He appoints and anoints you for the journey. You’ll learn to depend on him for everything. You’ll have revelation and conviction for the work ahead. Today, He invites you into the throne room to receive from him.

If you step outside your comfort zone, the Holy Spirit can give you the strength to guide God's people. He invites you to receive from His wealth of wisdom.

Lack of wisdom led the church to stagnancy, and they turned to the world.

Many went astray and entertained unclean things. But the Lord says; I am ready to wash them clean. Stop coasting on your old anointing. He has more to give to you. Receive the Solomon anointing.

The Church needs a growth spurt.

Many are seeking truth and a safe place to heal. The Lord raised and positioned you to be that place of safety for his people. A willing vessel will build a temple.

The Lord has your blueprint ready to hand out.

Do the work and climb up to get it. My people are hungry for structure. They need a powerful leader to lead them. The land is ready to occupy. When you take up your mantle, He will fulfill the promise he made long ago.

He will cause the wicked’s wealth to transfer to the church. But first, you must own the land, says the Lord.

For the love of Christ

Are you living or dead? This is the question.

When we take a moment to examine our lives, we sometimes ask ourselves questions like, why did I just do that? Why I am where I am? Why don’t I have this or that? There are so many questions and pressures we put on us as Christians.

You may have been on the sidelines and in the wilderness for so long. You may think this Christianity thing is not for you. This life is too hard for you and since you have been a Christian, things have been so hard. You are ready to give up. You have allowed your sins and mistakes to control your life and how the Lord can use you. There is a lot for you to do. You’re worthy in the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

For the love of Christ controls and compels us, because we have concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died; 15and He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake.

The Lord says,

”My child, why are you allowing your circumstances to dictate how this battle should go? Why have you laid down your weapons and declared defeat? Is this battle won through your strengths? Is it won by your mastery of weapons or by your abilities?

The enemy has confused you. You think you are alone and that you fight this battle by his rules. The enemy may have outsmarted you, but it is over for you. You have fallen prey to his tricks and his bluff. God is going to use this to promote you.

If you believe in Jesus Christ, you have died with him. What the devil did not plan for was your decision to die to yourself. He does not know that it was always the plan for you to resurrect.

My opening question was, are you living or dead? Have you ever watched cartoons or films where someone gets shot or killed? They stumble and stagger as they talk in slow motion, but they never seem to die? This is what we do as believers. We acknowledge Jesus, but we insist and fight to live our lives the way we want according to our will. As a Christian, you have died. What is the difference you say? One you have not died and so you are the one who lives. As a Christian, you have accepted death and have risen in Christ and so it is no longer your life or will that dominates, controls or compels your life but His.

Resurrection comes after crucifixion. Your new life is now found in Christ. To live, you must die, and to die means it is no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you. “It is no longer your life but my life that I live through you, says the Lord.”

God’s grace sets you free. It is not what you do right or wrong that qualifies you. Lay aside condemnation, fears, failures, and the recognition you seek from man. Die so that you may also rise with Him.

We have pretended to die so much that it is normal. We do our thing. Make our own decisions and choices and say it was God. Was it? Or was it that flesh forcing it’s will? Recognize that Christ when you separate and limit yourself with rules and regulations that are not biblical, you are only benefiting sinful desires. Die to yourself so Christ can live through you.

We are raising the next generation of ministry leaders.

I was sixteen when I got pregnant with my first son.

I had yet to learn anything about parenting or how I would provide for him. I had no house, car, or job. Guilt consumed me for many years. Living in sin at the time did not help.

His dad and I supplied his basic needs. We gave him love, security, and acceptance in the measure we had.

TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOURSELF.

The Lord does not expect you to get it all right.

You can’t! Even if you were to give your children everything, they have free will. One day they’ll exercise that right.

Your responsibility as a parent is to lay down a godly foundation for your household.

Isaiah 54:13 “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

God was the perfect father.

He provided a suitable environment for Adam and Eve.

God gave them everything they needed and authority over everything he created. Yet, they failed to follow the one commandment he gave them not to do. If God did all this for his children and they failed to walk in complete obedience, you’re in good company.

You’re not horrible for not giving your children everything.

Take the pressure off yourself.

The Lord does not expect you to get it all right.

You can’t! Even if you were to give your children everything, they have free will. One day they’ll exercise that right.

Your responsibility as a parent is to lay down a godly foundation for your household.

The Holy Spirit leads us in all truth.

There are many factors in raising children, and training them in the Lord is the most important.

The Lord did not leave all the parenting up to us. That is how great of a father he is. He has his part to play. He gave both parents and children guidelines to follow.

A marriage grounded in the Lord encourages a relationship with the Lord.

Where you fail, the Lord won’t.

Food, clothes, and a busy church schedule are not the best example of parenting.

The best parenting is the example we display of husbands and wives. Fathers show the heart of the father, and mothers display His nurturing character. That was the missing component with my first son.

I have grown since then. I flow in wisdom and am still flawed.

Let go of the shame; it is not of the Lord.

As believers, our goal is always to point our children to Jesus.

If you’re like me and missed out on giving your child that foundation from an early age, shake off the guilt. Even when they grow up and make poor decisions, they must seek their salvation. God is faithful.

The Holy Spirit brings conviction and helps them discover their identity.

You can’t mess up beyond God’s repair.

There is no perfect parenting.

There is always something we could have done better. Trust the Lord to do what you failed to do or give to your children. Don’t allow guilt to rob the joy of raising them to the best of your ability.

As you mature, give and share your revelations with them.

Don’t control your children. Guide them.

God did not confine Adam and Eve to rules and regulations 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They spent time with the Lord daily and had time to teal the ground and name the animals. They had balance. Being strict does not make children better Christians.

Give them love, acceptance, and recognition.

The Lord expects you to give children balance.

Children need a safe place to express their creativity.

They must discover their unique identity in Christ and enjoy life in the Lord. Whatever mistakes you made in your parenting, give it to the Lord. He has millions of years over you.

He will make sure they hear the gospel and experience his grace.

A light in the Dark

Times and seasons are changing. As they do, the church needs to prepare. We need to become uncomfortable with the church's current stance and position. The current leaders are more concerned with being accepted and having the world love them than they are with carrying out the Lord's will.

Unfamiliar, uncompromising leaders are being brought forth by the Lord. I clearly understand the Lord transitioning the church from its current state to ready it for the end times. I have a clear understanding that the Lord will uncover leaders who have traded their true spiritual calling for worldly fame and acceptance.

Are you prepared to pay the price to set the church on a hill?

The Church is a beacon to the lost and a home to the homeless. We must nurture them, train them, equip them, and prepare them to mature in their walk with Christ.

It is time that the end times church presents itself. It is time you prepare for the return of the bridegroom and the bride must be ready.

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Times and seasons are changing. As they do, the church needs to prepare. We need to become uncomfortable with the church's current stance and position. The current leaders are more concerned with being accepted and having the world love them than they are with carrying out the Lord's will.

The Lord is bringing forth unfamiliar, uncompromising leaders. I clearly understand the Lord transitioning the church from its current state to ready it for the end times. I understand that the Lord will uncover leaders who have traded their true spiritual calling for worldly fame and acceptance.

Are you prepared to pay the price to set the church on a hill?

The Church is a beacon to the lost and a home to the homeless. We must nurture, train, equip, and prepare them to mature in their walk with Christ.

It is time that the end times church presents itself as holy and acceptable unto God. It is time you prepare for the bridegroom's return, and the bride must be ready.

Leaders in the church today are more about making connections for their profit. They put on a cheerful face and laugh for a paycheck and recognition while putting the church in deception and ungodly pressures on them as they lead them through manipulation. They do not love unconditionally. Their focus is skewed.

The church is set apart and must completely agree with God’s will. But it is so divided that the world is laughing at us. They see that there is no unity.

The church deserves truth and transparency. They have taught us to conceal ourselves with our Christian lifestyle, office, and position. We were taught to act like we were without fault and completely innocent. We have been taught to consider the world as something beneath us as if it wasn't our origin.

I was there, so I understand the cry for help!

I stole, lied, fornicated, and committed adultery. Are any of my sins greater than any other? Does this disqualify me as a leader? Does your sin, past, or curses disqualify you? Does this show weakness and unworthiness to lead?

Not at all! All of it is a confirmation of why we need Jesus. If it did, then David would have been disqualified, Jacob, Peter, and even yes, our beloved Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles.

My strength and old character made me a sinful vessel. I was bound by sin and held captive by its guilt and fear of people knowing about my past. This is also your truth. But today, the Lord wants you to know that he is our savior and is not interested in judging us but in pouring His love upon us and His saving grace.

As I spent some time with the Lord, I heard him say clearly far too long has, my bride, been stagnant and has been compromising.

The Lord showed me a vision of us, the body raised from complacency. He placed armor before us and handed us weapons of warfare.

Far too long has my bride been stagnant. It is time you get up and stops wallowing in all you do not have, all you lost, and all you are not.

It is time to get up, pick up a weapon, and start using it. As you do, it will become an extension of who you are. No longer look down upon yourself. You're not defeated.

You did not fail me, says the Lord. He says I've cleared the road for the journey ahead. I prepared you in obscurity. I trained you on your loss. I've strengthened you in trials.

I prepared you in the wilderness. That is why today, you have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth. No longer allow the deception of leaders who have compromised the gospel of Christ for their gain.

The time for preparation is over. It is time to pick up a weapon and cross the threshold. It is time to become uncompromising. The time of looking the other way and fearing what others will say is over. Claim victory over the enemy for the sake of the church today. Let the light the Lord has placed in you shine and drive out the darkness.

Joy is your inheritance.

Psalm 6:2 “Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.”

In desperation, I called out to the Lord. My soul had a deep yearning for things the world could not meet. Sex, money, or nightly parties with friends. None of this could fill the void I felt inside. I was lonely and hopeless. I needed help. There was nowhere left to turn but to Jesus.

Believers are not exempt from deep sorrow. The loss of a loved one hurts. Rejection can cause you to go into isolation. Unforgiveness leads to bitterness. Bitterness can take a toll on you if not dealt with correctly. Jesus has the answers we need.

It would be best not to suffer in silence.

Don’t feel ashamed of what you're going through. The Lord understands. He sees your heart and desires to restore your joy. Get desperate to get out of the dark space you're in. He will use the method of healing that works best for you. The enemy wants you to remain in isolation. The Lord wants to set you free.

The Lord may heal you at the point of repentance. He may sometimes lead you to someone who will walk you through inner healing. Either way, his desire for you is to be well in spirit, soul, and body.

Here are three points to help you find joy again:

1. Healing starts with repentance. Seek the Lord, and he will answer you. He will lead you to the right people and resources.

2. Isolation is a trap from the enemy. You can't heal yourself. You need people to walk you through inner healing. Get help!

3. Rejoice. You are not hopeless. The Lord will use your testimony to set others free.

We are gifts given to the Church.

We are gifts given to the Church.

Ephesians 4:11-13 (NLT) Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the complete standard of Christ.

It was customary growing up to give gifts, especially on special occasions. I remember a myth I was told as a child: don’t give a gift and take it back or you will get a boil on your tongue. That was complete nonsense and deception. When it comes to the Lord, He will never give a gift and take it back. Whatever the Lord has given you, it is forever.

That was complete nonsense and deception. When it comes to the Lord, He will never give a gift and take it back. Whatever the Lord has given you, it is forever.

When I started my Christian walk, I learned about gifts God gave to the church. It is without merit or entitlement. There are many teachings showing that we must work hard to receive these gifts from the Lord. After studying the scriptures, I noticed something very specific. God gives gifts out of love, not by obligation, our decisions or choices to love him in return or to obey him. The scriptures say before we were formed in our mother’s womb; he called us.

If you go through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, there is a pattern. God showers his children with gifts! We notice a unique gift when we looked at Ephesians. This gift not only comes with a promise, but with benefits. The benefits of maturity and like mindedness of Christ through the host of man.

We were not given as gifts to be worshiped or served.

As a pastor or an apostle, being given to the body of Christ as a gift. I must equip the body of Christ as part of my mandate. It is part of my mandate to equip the body of Christ, the Church. Not by forcing my doctrines, beliefs or archetype on anyone. There is no scripture that states we must all be the same. What it says is we come into unity in faith and knowledge of God’s son. God’s gifts serves a purpose to re-confirm or establish our connection with him.

Leaders are gifts given to serve the need of the body of Christ the church. God gave his son to the world as a gift. The Lord Jesus exemplified true leadership. He served his disciples and followers. Since the beginning of time, God gave gifts to express his unconditional love to us.

When the Lord gives us gifts, it is to communicate His love to us. He offers us gifts we don’t need to work for. There are no special tasks to complete or forms to fill out. Apostles, prophets, pastors, Teachers and evangelists are gifts to equip God’s people.

You’re a gift to the church. It is an honor to serve God’s people and to teach them to do the same. This is how we build the body of Christ! We unite with each other. We recognize we are gifts to the church, the body of Christ.

Marriage made beautiful.

There were a few examples of godly marriages in my life.

Most of the women the Lord allowed to nurture me taught me natural skills to raise my family and maintain a home. Yet, I lacked the spiritual wisdom of a godly wife.

I needed both natural skills and revelation of God’s will for my marriage.

God's wisdom aligns you for success.

I prayed for a godly partnership, and the Lord delivered. When I met my husband, I was desperate for a change. We were both broken, having been in several failed relationships.

There was much work to do to enjoy a healthy relationship in God’s way.

The journey to marriage success is long.

The change started the moment we stopped, pointing fingers at each other.

We realized the Lord was dealing with each person. Building strong marriages take work. When we submit to healing, we saw each other through the Lord’s lens.

Celebrate the good and allow the Lord to work on the imperfections.

Marriage is important to God.

His desire is for every one of us to have a fulfilled life. This is his order: God, Marriage/family, and ministry. Godly marriages set us up for family and ministry success.

Focus on God's order for things instead of being too focused on ministry.

Here are three points to set you up for marriage success:

1. Marriage is not one size fits all. Seek the Lord for his plan for your marriage.

2. Forgive! Holding on to offense causes bitterness and strife to creep in.

3. Seek help. The Lord knows what you need. Allow him to guide you to the right people and resources.

I will talk to you in my next blog post.
